One of Malaysia’s major tourism destinations and the gateway for many international tourists visiting the mysterious island of Borneo, Kota Kinabalu is the Sabah state capital and lies alongside the South China Sea, overlooked by the soaring Mount Kinabalu, which is located just over 80 km away from the States Capital.

Kota Kinabalu is often known as KK in Malaysia and internationally, it is a major fishing and scuba diving destination and there are many tourist attractions in and around the city. Kota Kinabalu is a hub for commerce and industry in the South China Sea region, these two factors combine to make Kota Kinabalu one of the fastest growing cities in Malaysia.
