arrow2Who is this Program for?

Volunteer Programs are the best choice if the students want an exciting opportunity to help out in an organisation where they can use their English skills while experiencing a real-life workplace. It’s an excellent way to do something positive and it will make students feel good. Our volunteers come to share their knowledge and friendship. This takes a lot of energy and time but more often proves to be a highly rewarding experience for both the volunteer organisation and students. As volunteers they find that although they have come to give to others, they go home a changed person. As well as improving their English they also get the chance to explore aspects of their future career opportunities and volunteer work in a foreign country looks good on a resume.

Point 1. EXPERIENCED ENERGETIC TEACHERS

We only work with the best teachers that have the highest English teaching qualifications, strong skills in motivating people and the ability to be vibrant and engaging every time. At Global English Centre we are continually training our teachers to be better, and when they improve, you improve.

Point 2. LEARN ABOUT A NEW SOCIETY, COMMUNITY AND COUNTRY

Volunteering in a foreign country is a very challenging, committed and often confronting experience. You will find yourself in unfamiliar situations in which your patience and comfort levels are challenged. You must be aware that cultural differences will often require you to be more sensitive and understanding. All of this combined fosters the learning process as you come to familiarize yourself with the local culture, traditions, and way of life.

Point 3. LEAVE YOUR FOOTPRINT FOREVER WITHIN THE COMMUNITY

Volunteers will contribute to the renovation and/or building of houses and school classrooms in impoverished communities to help provide an improved living and learning environment. Our volunteers come to share their knowledge and friendship, this takes a lot of energy and time but more often proves to be a highly rewarding experience as their efforts will be forever remembered in making a huge difference in improving the quality of life for the local community.
